Desiree Mee Jung is an Asian-American actress born Kim Mee Jung in Seoul, South Korea. Adopted at the age of two by an energetic Sicilian mother and structured German father, she grew up in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado producing her own musicals for family and friends, playing the viola and every sport imaginable.

Originally planning to become a reconstructive surgeon in high school until taking four science classes at once made her realize a longing and love for the Arts. As a thrill seeker with a tendency for solid ground, Desiree took on a double major in both Acting and Business. After going to school year round, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with degrees in both Theatre Arts and Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.

As an addicted traveler, Desiree’s hiked Ayers Rock in Australia, Fox Glacier in New Zealand, white water rafted down the Colorado River, Shotover River in New Zealand, and went scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Her favorite place in the world is on a rock on the edge of Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown, New Zealand that over-looks the majestic Remarkables Mountain Range. Desiree is a CrossFit enthusiast and holds a 1st Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

She happily calls Los Angeles home after living in Denver, New York City, Cape Cod and Brisbane, Australia. When she’s not on set or memorizing lines, you can find her at Crossfit, watching her favorite procedural or political drama, hiking or cheering on her favorite sports teams. GO BRONCOS!
